Stephen Shelley
Owner, Funeral Director, Pre-need and Embalmer
Stephen and Tyler have been married since 2015 and have three children: Harper, born in 2017; Cameron, born in 2019; and Natalie, born in 2022. They own, run, and live in the historic Dunsford Funeral Home. Stephen is a licensed Funeral Director, Embalmer, and Crematory Operator, and has been here since 2013. Tyler has taught for USD 402 since 2015 and currently teaches 7th grade English. The Shelleys enjoy taking their kids to the splash pad and local parks, and enjoy attending the events put on by the community. They enjoy raising their family in Augusta and look forward to growing with the community.

Elizabeth VanBuskirk
Assistant Funeral Director
Elizabeth is an Augusta native. She attended Augusta schools from preschool through high school. She graduated from Augusta High School in 2016. Elizabeth then went on to graduate from Butler Community College and continued her education, graduating from Wichita State University in December 2020. Elizabeth joined the Dunsford Funeral Home staff in 2021, and she recently received her Assistant Funeral Director’s license in 2024.
