Della "Willie" Willene Cook, 88, passed away on Monday, March 2, 2026.

Willie was born on April 15, 1937 in Izard County, Arkansas to William and Willa Mae (Rush) Hendrix.

Willie was united in marriage to James "Jim" Alfred Cook on August 24, 1956. They were married for 64 years until Jim's passing in 2021.

Willie worked for Dunsford Funeral Home from 1989 to 2005.

Willie enjoyed flowers and cooking for her family, she was a mother to everyone and loved family time above everything else.

Willie is survived by her children, Corky (Tamara) Cook, Jamie (Ben) Ketley, Traci (Kevin) Hayden, and Brent Cook; grandchildren, Josh Cook, Josh Scott, Erika Roberts, Tyler Scott, Cory Scott, Jake Cook, Logan Hayden, Trey Hayden, and Courtney Nance; 20 great-grandchildren; and brother, Lee (Jan) Hendrix.

Willie is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jim; great-grandson, Cole Scott; siblings, Bud Hendrix, Jean Mahaffey, and Betty Roberts.

Graveside service will be held on Friday March 6th, at 1:00 p.m. at the Douglass Cemetery, Douglass, Kansas

The family wishes Memorial Contributions to be made out to the Lincoln Elementary School, left in care of the Dunsford Funeral Home.
