Marion - William L. Lawson, 74, passed away on Thursday, August 13, 2015.

William was born on December 21, 1940, to George and Opal (Perry) Lawson in Perry, Oklahoma. William married Nancy Ann Madison on December 31, 1998 in El Dorado, Kansas. William worked at Boeing as a Punch Press operator for 30 years, he was also a truck driver and enjoyed working on the farm. William enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time with family.

William is survived by his son, William Lawson Jr. and wife Jayne of St. Joseph, Missouri; daughters Phyllis VonAchen and husband Thurman Hosler of Wichita, Kansas, Delores and husband Stacy Harris of Whitewater, Kansas, Julia and husband Randy Joy of Belle Plaine, Kansas; mother of his children, Helen Thomson of Wichita, Kansas; brothers Jack and wife Jody Lawson of Augusta, George and wife Linda Lawson of Augusta, Robert Lawson of Toronto, Kansas, Kenny Lawson of Augusta, Kansas; 11 grandchildren; 28 great grand children and 5 great great grandchildren.

William was preceded in death by his wife Nancy, his parents, brother Nathan Lawson and sister Joyce Razey.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 18th. Visitation will be Monday, August 17, from 1 to 8 p.m. with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. both at the Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta, KS. Interment will be at Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta, Kansas. Using the 12th street entrance.
