William "Dale" Holmes, passed away on Friday, February 17, 2023.

Dale was born Monday, September 8, 1924 in Abilene, Kansas to Ernest and Florence (Vanhorn) Holmes.

Dale served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II. He worked for Humphry Products in Wichita making storm doors and windows until he retired. Dale enjoyed fishing and traveling, family was what was most important to him.

Dale is survived by his children, Larry and wife Debbie Holmes of Augusta, Florence and husband Ronnie Hoover of Greenwood, Arkansas, Ernest and wife Rosalba Holmes of Wichita, Donald and wife Sandy Holmes of Edinburg, Texas; 8 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Dale is preceded in death by his parents; son, Michael Holmes; and grandsons, Zachery Wisely and Kale Shaffer.

Visitation will be Tuesday February 21 ^st from 5-7 p.m. Funeral services will be Wednesday February 22 ^nd at 2:00 p.m. both at the Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta.
