Wilbur Warren Wheatley, 88, passed away on June 7, 2017.

Wilbur was born on July 10, 1928 in Ralston, Oklahoma to William Walter and Alta Leona (Barns) Wheatley.  On June 28, 1969, Wilbur married Doralyn (Staehr) Goad in Pawnee, Oklahoma. Wilbur served his country in the United States Navy and served in the Korean War from January 5, 1951 to November 2, 1954 on the U.S.S. LSMR 404 as an Engineman Second Class. Wilbur had previously worked as a machinist and a welder.  He loved baseball, reading, gardening and going to garage sales..

Wilbur is survived by his wife Doralyn of the home; daughter Kimberly Young of Winfield; sister Carol Davis of Edmond, OK; grandchildren Alexandra (Garrett) Jones of Manhattan, Bailey Young of Kansas City, MO, Jackson Young of Winfield; nieces Janet Meyers of Edmond, OK and Elaine Miller of Ponca City, OK.

Wilbur is preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation with family will be from 6-8pm on Friday, June 9th and Funeral Service will be on Saturday, June 10th at 10 am, both at Dunsford Funeral Home in Augusta.

The family wishes Memorial Contributions be made out to Harry Hynes Hospice, or Breast cancer Research Foundation, left in care of the Dunsford Funeral Home.
