Vesta Jean Campbell, 81, passed away peacefully at her daughter's home on Friday, August 23, 2024.

Vesta was born on Sunday, August 30, 1942 in Topeka, Kansas to William and Jessie (Brown) Hicks.

Vesta was united in marriage to Robert "Bob" J. Campbell on February 15, 1963. They enjoyed 60 years of marriage together until Robert's passing August 30, 2023.

Vesta worked as a homemaker for her family for many years.

Vesta loved traveling and desired to move around. Robert's career of 26 years in the Airforce provided her with the opportunity to move. One of the many places they were stationed, Upper Heyford England, was her favorite. Vesta's Mother and Aunt would visit her in England and she loved touring the castles with them.

Vesta was an avid reader and soap opera junkie. She also enjoyed watching westerns and football with her husband.

Vesta is survived by her children, Robert (Niki) Campbell Jr. of Plattsmouth, NE, Sandy (Jerry) Amato of Augusta, KS, Camie Webster of Wichita, KS, and Audie (Jacque) Campbell of Newton, KS; 9 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren with one more on the way, due in November; sister, Alice Kelly; and brother, Ron Hicks.

Vesta is preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brother Bill Hicks.

A Celebration of Life to be held for Robert and Vesta at a later date.
