Terry Wayne Smart, 72, passed away on Monday, July 7, 2025.

Terry was born on January 3, 1953 in El Dorado, Kansas to Marion Eugene and Rogene Mae (DeWeese) Smart.

Terry was united in marriage to Barbara James on August 9th, 1974.

Terry worked for Beech Aircraft as a sheer operator for 41 years until he retired.

Terry enjoyed mowing, auctions, shooting, rodeos, tractor shows, and was a member of ICT Dachshunds. He loved spending time with his family and any chance he could he was watching his grandkids play sports, he was a longtime member of Prairie Hills Baptist Church and loved the Lord.

Terry is survived by his Wife; Barb Smart of Augusta; children; Brian and wife Jamie Smart of Augusta, Leslie and husband James Frame of Augusta; grandchildren, Jacob Smart, Maddie Smart, Bailey Bohon and Gavin Bohon; great grandson Kash Barnett; sister Martha McAdoo; brother in law, Jack James; niece Stacey McAdoo, nephews, Matt McAdoo, Brant James and Clint Connor.

Terry is preceded in death by his parents; brother Roger Smart and sister in law Jean Teter-Thomas.

Visitation will be held on Thursday July 10th from 6-8 p.m. at the Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday July 11th at 10:00 a.m. at the Prairie Hills Southern Baptist Church. 9959 SW Pampas Rd, Augusta, KS 67010

The family wishes Memorial Contributions be made out to the Prairie Hills Southern Baptist Church or the Augusta Volunteer Fire Department, left in care of the Dunsford Funeral Home.
