Stanley Callies, 66, passed away in Augusta on Sunday, June 5, 2016.
Stanley Callies was born June 23, 1949, to Arnold and Eunice (Terveen) Callies in Canova, South Dakota. Stanley served his country in the United States Army and fought for his country in Vietnam. He was united in marriage to his companion of 24 years, Sheryl Penwell on March 10, in Branson, Missouri. Stanley enjoyed fishing and riding motorcycles, he especially loved his family.
His survivors include his wife Sheryl of Beaumont; children Kelli Barrett of El Dorado, Stanley Tyson Callies of Newcastle, CO, Anne Lynch of Augusta, Nathanael Owens of Colorado, Zachary and his wife Vicki Owens of Leon, Jay and his wife Samantha Owens of Augusta; brothers Harlan Hartman of Augusta, Patrick Callies of Augusta; sister Linda Archer of Augusta; 25 grandchildren.
Stanley was preceded in death by his parents, brother Rodney Callies and sister Pam Stewart.
Visitation will be from 5-7 Monday June 6. Funeral services will held be Tuesday, June 7, at 2:00 p.m. both at Dunsford Funeral Home in Augusta, Kansas.
A memorial has been established with the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home.
