Augusta - Shirley L. (Smith) Reeve passed peacefully on July 7th 2016, at age 88, to be with loved ones who proceeded her in death: husband Richard "Dick" Reeve, daughter Robin Johnson, and grandson James Reeve.

Shirley was born on August 28, 1927, to Russell W. and Mildred C. (Stone) Smith in Fredrick, Maryland. Shirley had graduated high school. Shirley married Richard Vernon Reeve on March 26, 1948. Shirley had worked in Food Service for 18 years in the Florida School System.

She is survived and lovingly remembered by: son Jim Reeve (Peggy); son-in-law Greg Johnson (Diana); grandchildren Shelby Johnson, Selina Reeve and Amanda McCluer; and the staff and friends at Cottonwood Point Senior Living where she made her home.

Shirley enriched her life through her humor and love for those she met, traveling cross country via RV, cross-stitch, playing cards and dominoes, and enjoyed visiting with family and friends.

Family will have an Inurnment Service on Wednesday, July 13, at 10:00 a.m. at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Derby, Kansas. Shirley will be interred with her husband near their daughter.
