Shirley LaJune Davis, 91, passed away on Thursday, January 8, 2026.

Shirley was born on September 5, 1934 in London, Arkansas to James and Sally (Gibson) Wilson.

Shirley was united in marriage to James Abner Davis on June 15, 1958 in Augusta, Kansas. They were married for 54 years until James' passing in 2013.

Shirley worked as an Aircraft Parts Control Authority for over 30 years at Boeing Aircraft.

Shirley was an avid volunteer; she was a Sunday School Teacher for many years. Shirley enjoyed housework, gardening and especially her rose bushes. She won "Best Lawn in Augusta" several times and took great pride in taking care of her home and lawn.

Shirley is survived by her son, Brian and wife, Tammy Davis; grandchildren, Jeron and wife Tanya Davis of Augusta, Lindsey and husband Chance Clark of Augusta; great-grandchildren, Remington Davis, Paisley Davis, Maverick Clark and Parker Clark; as well as many nieces and a nephew.

Shirley is preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Ernest and Bobby Wilson; and sister, Helen Morris.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 12th from 5 – 7 p.m. at Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta.

A Private Funeral Service will be held at a later date.

The family wishes Memorial Contributions be made out to the Church of the Nazarene, of Augusta, left in care of the Dunsford Funeral Home.
