Sarah "Sally" Belle Schmidt, 96, passed away on Friday, February 17, 2023.

Sally was born on January 3, 1927 in Leon, Kansas to William and Carrie (Wagoner) Simmons.

Sally was united in marriage to Robert Schmidt on December 5, 1949 in Claflin, Kansas. She was a beautician and a cook for several retirement communities for many years. Sarah enjoyed quilting, baking and decorating wedding cakes, and staying active with her bible study group at Augusta United Methodist Church.

Sally is survived by her children, Becky Jenkinson of Douglass, Brenda Shaw of Rosehill, Eric and wife Catherine Schmidt of Leon; 13 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren.

Sally is preceded in death by her parents; husband Robert, and daughter Terry Schmidt.

Visitation will be on Thursday, February 23 ^rd from 5-7 p.m. at Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta. Funeral service will be Friday 10:00 a.m. February 24 ^th at the Augusta United Methodist Church. Graveside services will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Neola Cemetery.

In leu of flowers, Memorial donations may be made out to Augusta United Methodist Church, left in care of Dunsford Funeral Home.
