Seymour, Russell James, 84, Augusta postal mail carrier and Mobil Oil employee, passed away Friday, July 20, 2012, at his home.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 25, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral service will be Thursday, July 26, at 10:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Augusta. Interment to follow in Sunset Lawn Cemetery, El Dorado, Kansas.

Russell was born September 3, 1927, to Carl Russell and Dona Loretta (Ades) Seymour in Keighley, Kansas. Russell served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He married Madonna Fern Seibert in El Dorado on June 18, 1948.

Survivors include his daughters Sondra (Kenneth) Franklin of Kirksville, Missouri, Denise (Mike) Callanan of Park City, Kansas, Tammy Cline of Augusta; son Rex (Kelly) Seymour of Mulvane, Kansas; brother William Seymour; sisters Ruth Brewer, Ruby (Virgil) Flinn and Roberta (Dave) Kiser all of Augusta; 8 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.

Russell was preceded in death by his wife Madonna on May 5, 2012; parents; an infant daughter Theresa Seymour; and a sister Doretta Wilson.

A memorial has been established with The First United Methodist Church, 2420 North Ohio, Augusta, Kansas 67010, or in care of the funeral home.
