Obituary

Mauk, Russell Kenneth "Bud", 96, retired Boeing flight line mechanic, machinist and welder, passed away, Friday, March 12, 2010 at the Kansas Medical Center in Andover.

Russell was born in Hydro, Oklahoma to Benjamin Franklin and Salina (Dillon) Mauk on November 22, 1913. He graduated from Augusta High School and married Hazel Marie Cody on March 24, 1934 in El Dorado, Kansas.

Bud is survived by his wife Hazel of the home They were married twelve days short of 76 years; son Rusty (Kim) Mauk of Pueblo, Colorado; daughters Patricia Grisham of Omaha, Nebraska and Rita Morgan of Augusta; three grandchildren Kimberly, Kent and Shon; five great-grandchildren Alex, Kali, Taylor, Cody and Will.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers Leo Gibson, Gilbert, Buell, Vernon and Floyd Mauk; sisters Thelma Byrd, Hazel Cody and an infant sister.

Viewing will be held Tuesday, March 16, from 1-5 p.m. and visitation with family greeting friends to follow from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Private family interment.

In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established with the Parsons Community Free Clinic, 1353 25000 Road, Parsons, Kansas 67357 or in care of the funeral home.
