Rose Elizabeth Appleman, 85, passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2020.

Rose was born on Tuesday, November 13, 1934 in Ames, Oklahoma to John and Pauline (Whicker) Thompson.  She married Charles "Charlie" Appleman on July 1, 1955 in Joplin, Missouri.  Rose was a housewife.  She enjoyed her friends, traveling, camping, sewing and playing the piano. Rose loved her family, and her dog Roscoe, very much.

Rose is survived by her husband Charlie of the home; sons Steve (Susan) Appleman of El Dorado, David Appleman of Lawrence; grandchildren Scott (Janice) Appleman of Tucson, AZ, Salli (Leland) Vance of Augusta, Jacob Appleman of Lawrence, Jenna Appleman of Lawrence; great-grandchildren Elly, Lucy, Harper, Maci and Jackson; adopted sisters Tami Vance of Round Rock, Texas and Juanita Barnett of West Virginia.

Rose is preceded in death by her parents and her brother Duayne Thompson.

A Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, January 15 ^th at 1:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Augusta.

The family wishes Memorial Contributions be made out to the First Baptist Church, left in care of the Dunsford Funeral Home.
