Roush, Robert David, Sr. 87, retired Service Transfer truck driver for 44 years, passed away Sunday, July 29, 2012 at his home.

Viewing will be Wednesday, August 1, from 1-6 p.m., with visitation following from 6-8 p.m. both at the funeral home. Graveside service will be held Thursday, August 2, at 10:00 a.m., in the Garrison Spring Township Cemetery.

Robert was born December 20, 1924 to Frank and Lydia (Kelly) Roush in Augusta, Kansas. Robert served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He married Cathern Marie Jones on November 23, 1944 in Wichita.

Survivors include his son Charles Roush of Wichita; daughters Rosie Thomas of Wichita, Helen (Gerry) Stanford of Peabody; daughter-in-law Martha Roush of Wichita; 13 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; spouse, Cathern Roush; son, Robert Roush, Jr.; and a brother, Francis Roush.

A memorial has been established with Hospice Care of Kansas in care of the funeral home.
