CMSgt Robert "Bob" J. Campbell RET. passed away Wednesday, August 30, 2023, at the age of 84 in Augusta, KS.

Bob was born in Fort Morgan, Colorado on July 4th, 1939. He went all through school in Aurora Colorado and as a Junior in High School began his lifelong career in the Military with the Air National Guard. At the age of 18 he joined the United States Air Force and was first stationed at Forbes AFB, Topeka in 1958 where he met his wife, Vesta Hicks. They married February 15, 1963, and had 4 children. He served one tour in Vietnam in 1968 after the birth of his 3rd child. In 1976 he was stationed at Upper Heyford AFB, in England where he worked on the F-111 Program. He and his family spent the next 4 years abroad, then returned to SAC Offutt AFB, Omaha Nebraska where he retired in 1984 after serving 26 years of service. Retirement did not suit Bob well, so he then went on to work for Boeing Aircraft Company. He started his new career in Wichita, Kansas as a Tech. Rep./Field Service Rep. for the military in 1985. Bob was sent to Patuxent River Naval Base in Maryland to work on the E-6A program from 1989-91. He then went to Tinker AFB, Oklahoma City Oklahoma to work on the E-6 Program until he retired from Boeing in 1999.

Bob is survived by his wife, Vesta Campbell; Son - Robert Campbell Jr. & his children, Noelle & Rylee; Daughter - Sandra Amato & her son Joey; Daughter - Camie Webster & her children Darion, Colton, & Kylie; Son - Audie Campbell & his children Connor, Kyle, & Victoria; 11 great-grandchildren with one on the way.

Bob is preceded in death by his mother, father, brother, and sister.
