Obituary

Robert "Bud" Eugene Stroud, age 80, was born September 9, 1937 in Augusta KS and graduated from Augusta High School in 1956.  He passed  away peacefully in his Tulsa home  and transitioned to his eternal heavenly home on April 7, 2018 after a long and happy life.

Bud was a Marine veteran who served from 1956-1958.  He was a loving father of 6 children.  He was most known as being an avid sportsman.  Bud lettered in  multiple sports at Augusta High School and still holds the record of most points scored in a
single basketball game.  His love for basketball remained as he looked forward to watching "March Madness" every year.  In his younger days he loved to spend time on the Toronto Lake camping and fishing with family and friends.  He also enjoyed hunting with his sons and in-laws.  You could often find him in the local coffee shop shooting the breeze. Bud was a hard worker and had an entrepreneurial spirit and retired from his
own janitorial franchise.

He is survived by his daughters Gena (Dan) Kimberlin of Andover, KS, Leann (Vic) Brumley of Ardmore, OK; son Daryn (Stacey) Stroud of Maize, KS, daughter Amy Stroud  of Tulsa, OK, sons Tommy (Janet) McQuilliams of Wichita, KS and Danny McQuilliams of Wichita, KS; brother Jack Stroud of Austin, TX; sister Beverly Jo Galentine of Cottonwood Falls, KS; 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.  He also leaves behind his loving four legged companion Jack the dog of Tulsa, OK.

Bud is preceded in death by his parents Earnest Stroud and Garnett Ayres, spouses Anita Arterburn and Barbara Stroud.

Graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 12th, 1:00 p.m. at Elmwood Cemetery  in Augusta.
