Carey, Robert "Bob" Eugene, 63, passed away peacefully at his home in Augusta on Saturday, March 15, 2014.

Bob was born December 6, 1950, to Hurschel and Virginia (Warwick) Carey in Coffeyville, Kansas. He graduated from Augusta High School and served his country in the United States Navy. Bob was a Veteran Service Representative for the Veteran's Administration. He also was a house painter and carpenter. Bob was a talented musician and enjoyed nature, fishing and he loved his pets.

His survivors include his sisters, Sherrie (Howard) Johnson and Tammee (Randy) Yates all of Augusta; ex-wife and best friend, Bonnie Ruggles of Augusta; sister-in-law, Tina Carey of Anthony, Kansas; nieces and nephews, Justin (Emily) Carey, Michelle Carr and Kevin Carey; great-nieces and great-nephews, Contessa and Austin Carr, Katie and Chris; great-great niece, Alexis Carr.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Harry Carey.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 19, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral will be held Thursday, March 20, at 10:30 a.m. at GracePointe, 3626 North Ohio in Augusta. Interment in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Humboldt, Kansas, at 3:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established with the Robert Carey Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.
