Rickie "Rick" Ray Dickey, 65, passed away on Monday, April 22, 2019 at Harry Hynes Hospice after a long battle with cancer.

Rick was born on Monday, September 14, 1953 in Meade, Kansas to Raymond and Betty (Lauppe) Dickey. Rick graduated from Augusta High School in 1971. Rick was a hard worker, working many years in heating, air and refrigeration at ICS and Smitty's Refrigeration. He retired from the maintenance department at Andover Public Schools. Rick loved watching any and all sports, old TV shows, listening to rock and roll and time spent with his grandsons. He loved playing his guitar and was in several local bands, including Thee End.

Rick is survived by his parents Raymond and Betty of Augusta; son Ryan Dickey of Wichita; daughter Chelsea (Nathan) Hoshaw of Augusta; grandsons Eli and Lincoln; and brother Lloyd Dickey of Augusta.

Rick is preceded in death by his grandson Abel Hoshaw.

Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, April 30 ^th at 1:00 p.m. at Dunsford Chapel in Augusta.

The family wishes Memorial Contributions be made out to the Augusta High School Band Dept, left in care of the Dunsford Funeral Home.
