Wichita - Raymond Allen Wattenbarger, Age 75, passed away on April 30th, 2015.

Ray was born November 29th, 1939, in St. Joseph, Missouri to Raymond and Myrtle (Belcher) Wattenbarger. He graduated from Lafayette High School in 1957 in St Joe Missouri and graduated from Wichita State with a degree in Criminal Justice. He was united in marriage to Debbie Dunsford in Wichita in 1980. Ray served in the United States Marines, worked at the Wichita Fire Department for 3 years and as an Administrative Lieutenant in the Wichita Police Department for 20 years. He was also a commercial property manager for Weigand-Omega for 22 years. Ray enjoyed remodeling and loved spending time with his family.

Ray is survived by his wife Debbie Wattenbarger of Wichita, Kansas; son Tim Wattenbarger of Fort Worth, Texas, Jim Wattenbarger of Kansas City, Missouri; daughters Lori and husband Dean Hodgen of Maricopa, Arizona, Kiersten and husband Joe camp of Andale, Kansas, Kelley and husband Travis Allender of Wichita, Kansas; sisters Doris Jarmillo of St Joseph, Missouri, barbara McDowell of Portland, Oregon; numerous grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

Ray is preceded in death by his parents and numerous brothers and sisters.

A memorial has been established for the Kansas Humane Society in care of the funeral home.

Visitation will be on Sunday, May 3rd from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Dunsford Funeral Home. Private family services will take place at a later date.
