Phyllis May LaGrow, 88, passed away on Friday, January 8, 2016. Phyllis was born on November 28, 1927, to Lava and Vera (Gaskill) Ames in Detroit, Michigan. She had attended High School. She had worked as a dietary manager for the State of Oklahoma. She loved cross country skiing, camping, hiking and snowmobiling.

Phyllis is survived by her children William Martin of Leoma, Tennessee, Phyllis Vernier of Caro, Michigan, Lawrence LaGrow of Detroit, Michigan, Richard LaGrow of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Julie and husband Terry Medley of El Dorado, Kansas, Darlene Taylor of Newton, Kansas; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Ruth Martin and brother Melbourn Ames.

Private family services will be held at a later date.
