Augusta - Neva "Kay" (Huddleston) Hanzlick joined her precious family and friends with the Lord on Saturday, September 25 ^th , 2021.

Kay was born on May 25, 1935 in Horace, Kansas, to Alvin and Alice (Moore) Huddleston.  She was the 5 ^th of 6 children.  Kay was a member of the Augusta United Methodist Church.  She worked as and Executive Assistant at St. Mary of the Plains College until it closed and retired from Dodge City Community College in Dodge City, Kansas.  Kay loved family; especially babysitting her grandchildren and spending time with her family.  She is fondly remembered sitting in the bleachers cheering on her kids, grandkids and college students at as many sporting events as she could attend.  Kay enjoyed playing bridge, gardening, shopping, sewing and decorating.  She attended Kansas State University and studied Interior Design.  Kay and her lunch buddies were always sharing laughter, friendship, wild tales and cheer at many of the area restaurants.  She was GG to her grandchildren and was always looking forward to their visits and sharing her love with them.

Kay married William (Bill) Hanzlick at the Hoisington United Methodist Church and they shared three children, Blake, Linda and Juli.

Kay is survived by her brother Kent; sister-in-law Dorothy (Frank); daughters Linda (Lee) Romero-Smith and Juli (Kent) Clayborn; daughter-in-law Lana (Shawn) Ward; grandchildren, Chelsey Miranda (Deven Ramsey), Justin Hanzlick (Linde), Courtney Skiles (Jacob), Josh Romero (Ryanne), Dane Romero (Kristin), Dylan Romero (Kristina), Tyler Hanzlick (Diane) and Angela Huckabee (Huck); 21 beautiful great-grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces.

Kay is preceded in death by parents, her son Blake Hanzlick, son-in-law Winston (Lee) Smith, her brothers Keith (Eleanor "Shortie") and Frank, her sisters Beverly and Willa (Marvin) Cox, and nephew James (Jim) Cox.

A celebration of life will be Wednesday, September 29 ^th from 11:00-12:30 and a Memorial Service will follow at 12:30 p.m.  Both will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Augusta.

Memorial donations may be made payable to the ALS Keith Worthington Chapter, left in care of the Dunsford Funeral Home.
