El Dorado - Nancy Jean Thiel, 67, passed away on Sunday, August 14, 2016.

Nancy was born on August 14, 1949, to Forest Marlin and Ila Jean (Siler) Hamilton in El Dorado, Kansas. Nancy had worked as a cook and housekeeper for a nursing home. She loved her family very much.

Nancy is survived by her husband Kenneth Ross; children Andrea Ross of El Dorado, Amber Ross of Missouri, Kendra (Mike) Kelso of El Dorado, Tasha (Isaac) Moreno of Wichita, John Ross of El Dorado, Kayley Ross of Augusta, and Kristian Ross of Augusta; brother Joe Hamilton of El Dorado; 22 grandchildren; niece Reene Grabast; great-nieces and nephews Dalten, Trayten, Chloe; and best friend Charlotte Smith.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Larry and Raymond.

Graveside Memorial service will be Friday, August 19, at 2:00 p.m. at Elmwood Cemetery in Augusta using the 12th street entrance.
