Nancy Noel Speer, 85, passed away on Thursday, July 23, 2015.

Nancy was born June 27, 1930, to William "Bill" D. and Helen H. (Case) Mifflin in Augusta, Kansas. She graduated high school and had attended two years of college. Nancy was united in marriage to Vernon L. Speer on June 27, 1980 in Wichita, Kansas. She was a secretary for the V.A. Hospital in Wichita and Hillside Funeral Home of Augusta. She had also been a Pharmacy Tech and was a self employed seamstress. She loved sewing, crafts and enjoyed volunteer work.

She is survived by her daughters Judy Bryant and spouse Holly Lashmet of Falls City, Nebraska, Carmen Covey of Huntsville, Alabama, and Denise Brown of Douglass, Kansas; six grandchildren, one step-grandchild, nine great grandchildren and 2 step-great grandchildren; sister Mary Weston; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, husband Vernon, brothers Lawrence "Bud" Mifflin and sister Anna Bass.

Visitation will be Monday, July 27, from 1-7pm, with family present from 5-7pm. Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 28 at 11:00am. Both at Dunsford Funeral Home/Chapel, 201 East Fifth Avenue, Augusta, Kansas. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery, Augusta, Kansas.
