Misty Marie Peterson, 37, passed away on Wednesday, May 16, 2018, after a noble battle with cancer.

Misty was born on May 11, 1981 in Wichita, Kansas to Vernon "Dwight" and Patricia "Patty" Ann (Kessler) Peterson.  Misty enjoyed camping at the lake with her two sons and her friends.  She could always be found at the local music festivals, or wherever Blake Shelton was playing.  Misty loved to make people happy and laugh, so she found her favorite job behind the bar at Bricks in Augusta.  She loved to talk, make friends, and serve others.  At least once a year, she would take a vacation, and that vacation was always to Las Vegas.  She loved to camp, enjoyed music, have fun, and enjoyed spending time with her sons, her family and her friends.  Misty loved her boys immensely.

Misty is survived by her sons Dylan and Jacob; her parents Dwight and Patty; her brother Dustin; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Although Misty loved getting people together, a funeral service was not her style.  Please head over to Bricks, get a drink with friends, share some memories and laugh.

The family wishes in lieu of flowers that Memorial Contributions for her youngest son, be made out to Jacob Michael Peterson (Savings Account) at the Rose Hill Bank in Augusta.
