Mildred "Millie" Marie Wampler, 97, passed away on Wednesday, December 11, 2024.

Millie was born on Thursday, March 31, 1927 in Valencia, Kansas to Lonnie and Virginia (Johnson) Hobbs.

Millie was united in marriage to James Wampler on February 21, 1959. They were married for many years until his passing.

Millie was a secretary at Globe Oil until she retired after several years.

Millie enjoyed square dancing, fishing, gambling, and playing cards with her family. She had a big family and will be dearly missed by them.

Millie is survived by her son, Ronald (Sue) Dehart of Augusta, KS; grandchildren, Jeff (Veronica) Thomas of Sandusky, MI, Johnna (Todd) Freeman of Rose Hill, Ronnie Dehart of Harper, Dana Ann Dehart of Argonia, and Krista Harrington of Augusta; brother, Dell (Carolyn) Hobbs of Topeka; 8 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren.

Millie is preceded in death by her parents; husband, James; daughter, Lana and son-in-law, Gene Thomas; brother, Floyd Hobbs; and sister-in-law, Dorothy Hobbs.

Memorial services will be held on Monday December 16th at 1:00 p.m. at the Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta.

The family wishes Memorial Contributions be made out to Passageways, left in care of the Dunsford Funeral Home.
