Mary Ruth (Tharp) Cochran, 85, passed away  peacefully at Covenant Care Senior Living in Wichita, KS on Monday, July 22, 2024.

Mary Ruth was born on Saturday, February 25, 1939 in Latham, Kansas to Harold and Cleo (Cody) Tharp.

Mary Ruth worked as a homemaker for her family.

Mary Ruth enjoyed painting, crafts, and flipping garage sale items. She loved taking care of stray baby animals throughout her life.

Mary Ruth is survived by her children, Curtis (Lisa) Fletcher, Chris Fletcher, and Felisha (Rex) VanArsdale; grandchildren, Josh (Maggie) Fletcher, Ashley (Josh) Weaver, Shannan (Tony) Bernsden, Gage VanArsdale (Bridget Howard), Danielle VanArsdale (Cacy Hemingway), and Garrett VanArsdale; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Mary Ruth is preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Jim Tharp, Mike Tharp, and Bonnie Selvage.

Private family services to be held.
