Young Marvin, E., 82, of Latham, Kansas ranch hand and entrepreneur passed away, Saturday, August 4, 2012.

Marvin was born April 6, 1930, to Edward and Gloria (Nye) Young in Oil, Hill, Kansas. He married Wilma Jean Smith on May 16, 1950, in Beaumont, Kansas.

Survivors include his sons Marvin "Gene" (Sandy) Young of El Dorado, Ray (Sharon) Young of Latham; daughter Cindy (Chuck) Hogarth of Winfield; sister Elva (Glenn) Lewis of Howard, Kansas; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren;

Marvin was preceded in death by his parents; spouse; son Eddie Young; brother Jerry Young; great-granddaughter Andrea Young.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 7, from 5-7 p.m. at Dunsford Funeral Home. Funeral will be Wednesday, August 8, at 10:00 a.m. at First United Methodist Church, 236 North Cherry, Latham, Kansas. Interment will follow in the Latham Cemetery.

A memorial has been established with the American Heart Association in care of the funeral home.
