Marvin Doral Cox, 92, passed away on Wednesday, October 17, 2018.

Marvin was born on November 11, 1925 in Rose Hill, Kansas to Doral Connett and Blanche Hannah (Gagan) Cox  Marvin married Edna Mae Watson on December 8, 1950 in El Dorado, KS. He had served his country in the U.S. Army. Marvin had previously worked in carpentry and heavy equipment for McConnell AFB and the City of Augusta. He loved to camp, travel, do carpentry work, working with his hands and taking care of the swimming pool. He loved his family very much.

Marvin is survived by his wife Edna of the home; son Steven (Latrica "Lynn") of Emmett, AR; daughters Marilyn (Kenneth) Colbert of Edgerton, MO, Carolyn (Allen) Abel of Duluth, MN, and Debra (Calvin) Applegate of Augusta, KS; 10 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Marvin is preceded in death by his parents; his brother Jesse Cox and his two sisters Doris Gallop and sister, Loleta Burnham

Visitation will be on Friday, October 19th from 5:00-7:00 p.m. with Funeral service on Saturday, October 20th at 2:00 p.m. both at Dunsford Funeral Chapel in Augusta. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery also in Augusta.
