Martin K. Waples, known to friends as "Marty," passed away on Feb. 18th, at the age of 62, at his caregiver's home.  After a long struggle with cancer, he was surrounded by loved ones.

Marty was born March 31 ^st , 1955 to Quentin and Naida Waples in Winfield, KS.

Marty is survived by his son Ronnie Waples of Wichita; grandson Eian ; brother Gregory and wife Rena Waples of Atlanta, GA; sister Beverly and husband Harold House of Kansas City, KS; and many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Marty's life will be held at 11 a.m., on Saturday, Feb. 24th, at the First Baptist Church, 107 S. Maple St. in Douglass, KS, with Pastors Keith Cross and Pastor Voyt officiating.

Memorial donations in memory of Marty can be made to Harry Hynes Hospice of Wichita.
