Martha "Marti" Malcom, 63, passed away on Sunday, May 6, 2018.

Marti was born on September 10, 1954 to James "Jim" and Mary Smith in Cherokee, Oklahoma.  The daughter of a grain elevator builder, Marti moved all over the Midwest US before settling in Augusta, KS in 1970 where she met the love of her life, Chuck Malcom.  They were married on August 9, 1975 and had two children before moving to Katy, TX in 1987.

She spent the next 30 years doing what she was most passionate about; raising her children Travis and Sarah, bowling, playing games with her girlfriends, and especially playing with her grandchildren whom she adored with everything she had, and her grand-dogs.

Marti is survived by her son Travis Malcom; daughter Sarah (Jeff) Rogers; grandchildren Kayla and Sydney; brothers Lonnie Steen and Max Smith; sister Sharon Wiek; cousin Sandi Toepffer; as well as many loving family and friends.

Marti was preceded in death by her loving husband Chuck; her parents Jim and Mary Smith; her step-mother Velma Smith; and her brother John Smith.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 pm on Thursday, May 10th at Kingsland Baptist Church in Katy, TX.

A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, May 12th at Elmwood Cemetery in Augusta, KS.
