Obituary

McJunkin, Mamie Alice (Grossarth), 88, passed away Thursday, September 5, 2013, at Lakepoint of El Dorado, Kansas.

Mamie was born December 24, 1924, to Grover Cleveland and Edith Marie (Sharp) Grossarth in Quincy, Kansas. She graduated from Toronto High School and married William "Bill" Franklin McJunkin, Jr., on September 10, 1942, in Yates Center, Kansas. Bill and Mamie owned and operated a motel in The Dalles, Oregon from 1951 - 2005. She also worked for US Bank and was a bookkeeper at Holiday Accounting Service.

Survivors include her son, Chuck (Scola) McJunkin of Me Lone, California; grandchildren, John (Melissa) McJunkin of Elko, Nevada and Celeste (Vincent) Matthews of Kansas City, Missouri; brother, Grover "Bill" Grossarth of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; sisters, Neva "Naomi" Rayl of Olathe, Kansas and Vivian Pendlay of El Dorado, Kansas; great-grandchildren, Zoey and Alexandra McJunkin; Brandy Jones, Jenna and Brian Turqueza; five great-great-grandchildren.

Mamie was preceded in death by her parents; spouse; and an infant son Bobby McJunkin. A private service will be held at a later date.
