Barnes, Mae "Artie" Arlene (Pedersen), 71, of Augusta, passed away, Wednesday, March 19, 2014.

Artie was born August 27, 1942, in Roseville, California. Artie graduated from Midwest City, Oklahoma High School and lived most of her life in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma. She married Jerry Lynn Barnes in 1967, in Corpus Christi, Texas. Artie worked for Ben's Pizza in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma before moving to Augusta in 2006 where she was a member of Prairie Hills Baptist Church. She enjoyed her Augusta scooter buddies, being grandma to her neighborhood children and she loved to fish.

Her survivors include her husband Jerry of the home; son, Tim Ragan; daughter, Karen (Brian) Morrison of Pauls Valley; son-in-law, John Smith of Kiowa, Oklahoma; brothers, John (Susan) Pedersen of Wichita, Kansas, Phil Pedersen; sister, Linda (Don) Stonecipher of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania; seven grandchildren, Matt, Marcus and Greg Ragan, Jessie Smith, Amanda Hammond, Jenny and Casey Morrison; nine great-grandchildren, Autumn and James Ragan, Kelsey and Colton Morrison, Jaley and Brook Hammond, Kensley McCray and Crasen East; and many family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mae Pedersen; daughter, Kelly Smith; and a great-grandson, Caden Morrison.

Visitation will be held Monday, March 24, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral will be held Tuesday, March 25, at 10:00 a.m. at Prairie Hills Baptist Church, 9959 SW Pampas Road, Augusta. Interment in Arlington Memorial Cemetery in Midwest City, Oklahoma at 3:00 p.m.
