Wichita - Lyla Pearl Fowler, 88, passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2015.

Lyla was born on October 21, 1927, to George Lewis and Nanny Elizabeth (Pattison) Bruner in Bloomington, Kansas. She graduated from High School and later married Donald Lee Fowler on June 15, 1941 in Augusta, Kansas. Lyla was a housewife. She loved reading and raising her children.

Lyla is survived by her daughters Carolyn Stock and significant other Keith Unterseher of Augusta, KS, Anita Davis and her husband Danny of Wichita, Kansas, Dona Bender and her husband Larry of Russell, Kansas; sons Ronald Fowler and wife Glena of Valley Center, Kansas, Patrick Fowler and wife Karen of Marion, Kansas, Larry Fowler of California; brother David Chalmers, of California; sisters Jovetta Ledbetter and husband Joe, of California, Jackie Best and husband Charles of Wichita, Kansas; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great gandchildren.

Lyla was preceded in death by her husband Donald, son Michael, grandson Jason Battlegear, her parents and three sisters Marie, Alice and Lois.

Family will have a Memorial service on Saturday, November 14, at 11:00 a.m. at Plymouth Congregational Church, 402 N. Commercial, Sedgwick, Kansas.
