Luella was born December 25, 1937 in Russell, Kansas to Charles Marion and Eunice (Ensley) White. She was a quilter, seamstress for the Senator of Florida, and in the home. She was a artist on material! She loved sewing, cooking, drinking coffee & sharing good talks, fishing, her tv shows, being with family & friends, and she was always making something for everyone.

Luella is survived by her sons Rick Downen and his wife Elizabeth Eileen, and Terry Walker, both of El Dorado, KS; and step-daughter Teresa Walker of Eureka, KS.

Luella is preceded in death by her father Charles(Suede) White, mother Eunice Ensley, brother Orland(Corky) White, husband Darrell Walker, sister Billy, son David Downen, grandson Thommy Downen, and daughter-in-law Sheryl (Moore) Downen.

Luella went to be with Jesus on March 30th, 2017.

In loving memory of Luella (Lou) Mae Walker a Celebration Of Life Wake will be held in El Dorado, KS in the pavilion at the El Dorado Splash Park, 1000 N. Main, on Sun, May 28th from 12pm-2pm.  Please feel free to bring anything, a memory about MOM, that we can all share.

Food will be provided, bring your lawn chairs, swimming suits & enjoy the day sharing what mom always loved, family & friends being together!
