Lucy Viola Dennett, 97, of Georgetown, Texas passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2014.

Lucy was born May 16, 1917, to Roy and Mabel (Cooper) Coulson in Wichita, Kansas. She graduated from Wichita North High School. She married Melvin Dennett on July 24, 1937 in Huntington Park, California. They were married for 58 years. Lucy was a homemaker and was a member of the Quilting Group at the Methodist Church of Augusta, Kansas. She enjoyed gardening and games of chance.

Her survivors include her sons, Gary and wife Judy Dennett, of Georgetown, Texas, Larry and wife Ulli Dennett of Cibolo, Texas, Richard Dennett of Andover, Kansas; daughter Janet and husband Roger Howell of Georgetown, Texas; sister Ruth and husband Ralph Andre of Buellton, California; 9 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren.

Lucy was preceded in death by her husband and parents and brothers Willis, Dale and Raymond Coulson.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 18, from 12-2 p.m. Funeral services will be Thursday, December 18, at 2:00 p.m. both at the Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta.

Memorials have been established with the Lupus Foundation, in care of the funeral home.
