Cody, Loyce Ann (Basolo), 69, long time resident of Augusta passed away Monday, December 5, 2011, at her home in Augusta, Kansas.
Loyce was born to Tony and Dorothy (Rogers) Basolo on March 6, 1942, in McAlester, Oklahoma. Loyce had a Master's Degree in Special Education/Early Childhood and was a teacher at Cessna Elementary in Wichita. Loyce was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in El Dorado and very active as a Sunday school teacher. She enjoyed genealogy research and especially enjoyed her grandchildren.
Survivors are her children, Jerry Hoyt Jr. (Laurie) of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; Lori Daly (Greg Harris) of Augusta; Ken Hoyt (Jennifer) of Augusta; Toni Hoyt, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma and Carla Cody, of Winfield; sisters, Nancy Scherman (Allen) of McAlester, Oklahoma; Joella Ford (Jim) of Verdigris, Oklahoma; brother Tony Basolo III (Judy) of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; grandchildren Tyson and Amanda Hoyt, Anna Crane, Courtney Daly, Korigan, Jana Loyce and Kenlee Hoyt, Jacob Hoyt and Jerico Gaines.
No visitation. Funeral service will be Friday, December 9, at 1:00 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints, 120 South Main in El Dorado and a private family graveside service in McAlester, Oklahoma on Saturday, December 10.
