Loretta Rae MacCready, 71, passed away on Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at William Newton Hospital in Winfield, KS, after a long battle with cancer.

Loretta was born on Monday, September 4, 1950 in Sedan, KS to Ellis F. and Grace Isabelle (Mattocks) Humphries.

Loretta was united in marriage to Billie Lee MacCready on May 5, 1973. They were married for 45 years until Billie's passing in 2018.

Loretta enjoyed visiting with people, going to yard sales, and solving word puzzles.

Loretta is survived by her son Donnie MacCready; brother Ellis "JR" Humphries; nephew Steven Humpries, nieces, Kim, Jahn and Jessi Humpries-Winfrey; brother and sister-in-law AJ and Loureta MacCready; special cousins Carolyn Hill and Janice Hooper.

Loretta is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Billie; and brother Ronnie.

A special thanks goes out to the hospice and hospital workers; and the many people who have helped Loretta and her family, with her and her husband's battle with cancer; and for the many good thoughts, prayers, and generous deeds.
