Nokes, Loren, William, 74, retired farmer of Ponca City, Oklahoma passed away, Saturday, July 24, 2010 at the Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice Inpatient Unit in Wichita, Kansas.

Loren was born January 26, 1936 in Welda, Kansas to Lorenzo Francis and Anel Eleanor (Boone) Nokes. He lived in the Richmond and Rantoul area of Kansas for over 30 years and Ponca City for the last 15 years. Loren enjoyed playing cards at the local senior center.

His survivors include his son Carl Nokes of Wichita, a daughter and her husband Elizabeth and David Yates of Augusta, Kansas; a sister Eleanor Lineback of Hutchison, Kansas; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Preston Nokes.

A memorial service will be held at Trout Funeral Home, 505 West Grand Avenue in Ponca City, Oklahoma on Friday, July 30 at 2:00 p.m.

Inurnment will take place on Saturday, July 31, at 2:00 p.m. in the Welda Cemetery in Welda, Kansas.
