Lila Marie Jones, 87, passed away at home peacefully on Tuesday, April 18, 2023.

Lila was born on Saturday, June 15, 1935 in El Dorado, Kansas to Pedro Requenia and Mary (Sapenia) Requenia.

Lila was united in marriage to Richard "Jerry" Jerome Jones on Wednesday March 30th, 1966 in El Dorado, KS. They were married for 53 years until his passing in 2019. Together with her family they lived in El Dorado Kansas, Bismarck North Dakota, Minneapolis Minnesota, Lincoln Nebraska, Olathe Kansas before returning to El Dorado.

Lila's early work was in hospitality. She also worked as a homemaker for her family.

Lila enjoyed/loved sewing, gardening, dancing, listening to Elvis, watching late-night movies with her grandbabies until they fell asleep, and talking on the phone with family all around the country.

Lila is survived by her sister Mary Villa of Moreno Valley, California; sons, Sonny Michael Jones and Richard James Jones; daughter, Jerri Michelle Davis, all of El Dorado, KS. She has 7 grandchildren & 18 great-grandchildren.

Lila is preceded in death by her parents; husband; & 5 siblings.
