Leon "Okie" Duvergne Randolph, 86, passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2018.

Leon was born on October 22, 1931 in Ames, Oklahoma to Ralph Joseph and Muriel Carrie (Racer) Randolph.  Leon had served his country by joining the Army National Guard in 1949.  On September 1, 1950, his unit was mobilized into the U.S. Army and sent to Korea, where he served for 1 year and 2 months.  Leon was honorably discharged from the Active Army on June 8, 1952.  On October 19, 1952 Leon married Coral "Jean" Goodpasture in Hennessey, Oklahoma.  Last October they celebrated 65 years of marriage.  Leon had worked at Beech for 36 years in sheet metal.  Everyone called Leon "Okie".  Leon was a lifetime member of his National Guard unit the 45th Infantry Division (Thunderbirds) Association in Oklahoma, the DAV, Augusta American Legion Post #189 and Augusta VFW Post #6746.  Leon loved to paint and draw.

Leon is survived by his wife Jean of the home; sons Michael (Dana) Randolph of Towanda, KS, Randy (Velvet) Randolph of Raymore, MO; daughter Carolyn (Brian) Wright of Shawnee, KS; daughter-in-law Katusha Randolph of Madison, NC; sister Carol Lee (Jim) Rogers of Webb City, MO; grandchildren Ralph, Christy, Stacy, Katrina, Carolyn, Crystal, Rikki, Levi, Gilbert, Grace, Luke and Dustin; 15 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren.  There were many close friends who called Leon their Grandpa.

Leon is preceded in death by his parents; son John; brothers Leonard and Larry; sisters Donna Grace Randolph, Joyce Sontag, Oleta Evans, Annabelle Guthrie, Linda Cunningham and Bernadine Richardson.

Visitation will be Friday, February 16th from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Dunsford Chapel in Augusta.  Funeral services will take place on Saturday, February 17th at 10:00 a.m. at First Southern Baptist Church in Augusta.  Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Augusta.

The family wishes Memorial Contributions be made out for funeral expenses, left in care of the Dunsford Funeral Home.
