Lauree Louann Young, 54, passed away on Sunday, July 23, 2023.

Lauree was born on Friday, April 25, 1969 in Wellington, Kansas to Bruce and Anna Louise (Rothrock) McIntyre.

Lauree was united in marriage to David L. Young on November 10. They were married for 6 years until Lauree's passing.

Lauree was a homemaker for her family. Lauree enjoyed spending her time listening to music, watching birds, squirrels, and going fishing. Most of all she loved church and her grandchildren.

Lauree is survived by her husband, David Young of Augusta; children, Olivia (James) Martin of Haysville, Drake (Emma) Kreifels of Conway Springs, Klyde (Maddie) Kreifels of Hutchinson, Chance (Rilee) Kreifels of Wellington, and Landon Kreifels of Augusta; grandchildren, Isaac, Grayson, Emma, Ellie, and Ivy; sister, Chaney (Damon) Kraft; brothers, Mike (Evette) McIntyre, Bob (Sara) McIntyre, Drew (Alicia Lorg-Kakoulias) McIntyre, and Greg (Lisa) McIntyre.

Lauree is preceded in death by her parents and first husband Jon Kreifels.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 27th from 5 – 7 p.m. at Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta.

Memorial Service will be held on Friday, July 28th at 2 p.m. at Free Will Baptist church in Wellington.

The family wishes Memorial Contributions be made out to Great Plains Nature Center, left in care of the Dunsford Funeral Home.
