Larry Max Johnson, 73, passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2018.

Larry was born on April 13, 1944 in Freedom, Oklahoma to James E. Kern and Ina Welty.  Larry was later adopted by Charles W. Johnson.  Larry had previously served his country in the U.S. Air Force.  Larry married Karyl Kirkpatrick on November 27, 1964 in Wichita, Kansas.  Larry had previously worked at N.C.R. as an electrical designer.  He performed live theater for 40 years with the Act I Players and loved to collect coins, build model cars and go fishing.

Larry is survived by his wife Karyl of the home; step-mother Marilyn Johnson of Wichita; children Kris (David) Dilli of Wichita, Lisa (Phil) Drown of Augusta; sister Karen(Rob) Dakin of Wichita; brother Charles W. (Judy) Johnson Jr. of Amarillo, TX; sister-in-law Betty (Tom) Barriner of Goddard; brother-in-law Mark (Brenda) Kirkpatrick of Augusta; sister-in-law Dee (Bill) Regina of Ft. Scott; sister-in-law Donna (Benton) Kirkpatrick of Mount Hope; grandchildren  Derek, Alex, Amy, Azlynn and Cole; and several nieces and nephews.

Larry is preceded in death by his parents; brothers-in-law Daryl and Bill Kirkpatrick, mother-in-law Dorothy, in-laws Don and Evelyn Kirkpatrick.

Viewing will be on Friday, February 2nd from 12:00-5:00 p.m.  Visitation with family will be Saturday, February 3rd from 12:00-2:00 p.m. with Funeral Service following at 2:00 p.m.  All services to be held at Dunsford Funeral Chapel in Augusta.  Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery also in Augusta.

The family wishes Memorial Contributions be made out to the Act I Players-Augusta Community Theater, left in care of the Dunsford Funeral Home.
