McMurtry, Kian Nathanial, 5, pre-K student at Clark Elementary, passed away Friday, April 16, 2010 at Wesley Medical Center.

Kian was born in Wichita to Johnny James McMurtry Jr., and Kimberlie Anne (Schak) Walker on March 9, 2005.

He was preceded in death by two brothers Johnny McMurtry, III and Bryan McMurtry; maternal grandparents Melvin and Dolores Kuker.

He leaves to mourn his passing his parents, Johnny McMurtry Jr, Kim (Vince) Walker; brother Matthew; sister Amanda McMurtry all of Wichita; maternal grandfather John Schak, Hickory, North Carolina; paternal grandparents John McMurtry Sr., Mary Raines, step-grandmother Doris Morgan, all of Wichita, step grandfather Jack Walker Jr., Anaheim, California and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Viewing 1-6, Monday, April 19, with visitation following from 6-8 at the funeral home Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Christian Church, 1600 State, Augusta and internment in the Elmwood Cemetery in Augusta.

Memorials have been established with SIDS and Special Olympics in care of the funeral home.
