Parsons, Kent 56, passed away Sunday, January 29, 2012, at his residence in Augusta.

No visitation. A memorial service will be held Friday, February 3, 2012, at 1:00 p.m. in the Dunsford Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Mark Hoover from New Spring Church will be officiating.

Kent was born October 22, 1955, to Earl Dennis and Harriet Alma (Thurman) Parsons in Wichita, Kansas. He graduated from high school in Cassville, Missouri. Kent married Candace Epperson at their home in Augusta on January 19, 2000. He owned his own construction concrete business Parsons Concrete, Inc.

His survivors include his wife Candace of the home; mother Harriet Burnham of Shell Knob, Missouri; daughters Sara Parsons of Buffalo, New York and Rachel Parsons of Gainesville, Florida; sons Rick, Kelly and Jake (Mary Manahan) Volkman all of Augusta; sisters Adena (Jim) Swearingen of Douglass and Denise Reid of Shell Knob, Missouri; 3 grandchildren Alexis, Rheagan and Hollie Volkman.

He was preceded in death by his father Dennis Parsons and step-father Clay Burnham.

A memorial has been established with the American Heart Association in care of the funeral home.
