Charles "Keith" Kimbel, 60, passed away on June 3, 2023.

Keith was born on August 4th, 1962 in Guthrie, Oklahoma to Kenneth and Wanda (Prince) Kimbel. At an early age the family moved to Wichita KS and soon after to Inman Kansas, where he lived most of his childhood and graduated from High School.

Keith worked several jobs, but the one he was most passionate about was following in his dad and granddads footsteps in law enforcement. Keith worked for the Sheriff's Department in Hamilton County for 2 years and then transferred to Sumner County where he worked for the Sheriff's Department and later began work for the Wellington Police Department as a police officer. He was also the Wellington D.A.R.E. officer for several years. He was in law enforcement for a total of 15 years. Before this he drove truck across the country. Keith also loved working on vehicles as an auto mechanic and doing wood working / home remodeling. Keith lived for a few years in Pensacola Florida with his brother and there you could find him at the auto mechanic shop working on cars or watching the Blue Angels fly over. After moving to OKC in 2021, Keith liked to go to gun shows, shop QVC, watch politics and the news and he enjoyed getting to spend time with his daughter, Shasta.

Keith is survived by his children, Shasta Baker of Piedmont, Oklahoma, Tiffany and Husband Conor Boyd of Olathe, Kansas, Brandon and Wife Kayla Kimbel of Mulvane, Kansas; granddaughter, McKenzie Boyd; brother Charles Adam and Wife Brenda Kimbel.'

Keith is preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Wanda.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday June 8th, at the Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta, Burial will follow at Mound Cemetery, Mound Ridge, Kansas.
