Kathryn E. (Crane) Todd, 93, passed away on November 23, 2011.
Kathryn was born April 27, 1918 in Memphis, Texas to Herbert Steven and Henrietta (Lane) Crane. She married Robert "Dean" Todd on June 14, 1935, in Augusta, Kansas.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 63 years, R. Dean Todd, daughter Sylvia (Todd) Hudson, and a son David Todd.
She is survived by her daughter Jill Boucher (Ross) of Augusta and cousin Karen (Watson) Zinardi of Winfield, Kansas; 7 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 23 great-great grandchildren.
Kathryn was a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church of Augusta and involved in all aspects of the church, especially the music and she especially enjoyed the bell choir. For many years she was a member of the local chapter of Hypatia Club. She taught music at many rural schools and then went on to teach private piano, violin and trumpet lessons in her home or the homes of her students. She had a joyous beautiful life. Her loss will be felt by everyone she touched with her love, big heart and dignity.
Viewing will be at the funeral home on Friday, November 25, from 1-5 p.m. with family receiving guests from 5-6 p.m. also on Friday. Funeral service will be held Saturday, November 26, at 11:00 a.m. at the Dunsford Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery in Augusta.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established with the First United Methodist Church, 2420 North Ohio, Augusta, Kansas 67010 or in care of the funeral home.
