Kathleen "Kathy" Ann (Cookson) Deacon, 69, passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2019.

Kathy was born on Wednesday, November 2, 1949 in Emporia, Kansas to James William and Anna Mae (Alvord) Cookson. Kathy graduated from Hamilton High School in 1967. She furthered her career and attended beauty collage in Wichita. She was then certified to become a cosmetologist/beautician and provided services to many clients in Hamilton, KS and later in Wichita. Kathy was married to Charles E. Deacon on September 6, 2002 and they celebrated 17 years of marriage. Kathy was very generous to those in need. She loved going to casinos. Kathy loved her family very much.

Kathy is survived by her husband Chuck; daughters Stacey Donahue and Michelle Milton; grandchildren Jessica Parks, Nikole Clune, Robert Milton Jr., Kendra Milton, Caleb Haney; great-grandchild Makenzie Clune; stepchildren Michael Young, Charlotte Jones and Charles Deacon; grandchildren Colyn Jones, Daniel Buhl, and Michael John Vann Young; her brother Truman J. Cookson; sisters Doris Roach and Rosella Boone; her nieces and one nephew.

Kathy is preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Dan Cookson, James Cookson Jr., Richard Cookson and John Cookson.

Family will hold a Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the Hamilton Community Center, 121 Main Street, Hamilton, KS.
