Karyl Lynn Kirkpatrick Johnson was delivered from her earthly ties to return to her Heavenly Father on June 13th, 2024.

Karyl was born on July 28th, 1946 to Donald Elwood Kirkpatrick and Dorothy Nina Jean Seaburn in El Dorado, Kansas. Wife and best friend to Larry, mother to Kris Dilli (David) and Lisa Drown (Philip), grandmother to Derek Drown, Alex Drown, Azlynn Dilli, Cole Dilli, and Amy Drown. Sister to Daryl Kirkpatrick, Bill Kirkpatrick, Dee Regina, Mark Kirkpatrick, and Donna Cauble. A beloved cousin and aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Karyl had many loves, but genealogy was at the top of the list. A certified family historian, she had traced multiple branches of her family back many generations. She was always willing to help others build their family tree with her skills as an avid researcher.

Karyl had a long career as an insurance agent in the Butler County area. She was also a member of the Northern Cherokee Tribe of Missouri and Arkansas and The Daughters of the American Revolution.

Karyl was preceded in death by her parents Donald and Dorothy, her husband Larry, her brother Daryl, and her brother Bill.
