Elk Falls –Joyce Lorraine Coffman, 80, departed her earthly home after hearing the Trumpet of The Lord, as her name was called upon to enter the gates of heaven on Tuesday, September 21, 2021.

Joyce was born on Monday, October 14, 1940 in Lisbon, North Dakota to Ivan and Goldie Morfitt.  Joyce enjoyed large family gatherings, cooking huge dinners for the holidays, baby-sitting her grandkids, raising peacocks and quilting her grandkids' personalized baby blankets.  Joyce loved spending time with her family, and her grandkids most of all.

Married on Christmas Eve in 1959, she cherished 61 years of devoted love, to the love of her life, Martin J. Coffman. Raising three kids of their own and fostering extended family members, when it was needed, always having an open door for family. She will be missed, especially by those that called her "Honey", Mama, or Grandma.

Joyce is survived by her husband, Martin J. Coffman of Elk Falls; children, Lourildia Coffman of Emporia, Martin Jr. (Susan) Coffman of Elk Falls, Randall (Lynnette) Coffman of Wichita; 8 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; and her sister Joy Louise Morfitt.

Joyce is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Kenneth, Richard and Teddy Morfitt; and her sister Sharon Pena

Private family services are scheduled at this time.

The family wishes Memorial Contributions be made out to the Alzheimer's Association, left in care of the Dunsford Funeral Home.
